there not really all that similar granted they are both stealth games. The addition of powers takes the game in a whole new direction think a stealth version of bioshock. Its a great game I would recommend everyone to at least have a go of it. The powers open up whole new options shall I use blink to teleport up to that balcony and get in through the window or shall I posses a guard and walk in through the front door or maybe go in guns blazing and use slow time to kill everybody before a single bullet has time to reach me.

They're not very similar. Depends what you liked about Absolution.

I wasn't really a fan of Dishonored. If you want a better open stealth game, I'd honestly recommend the rest of the Hitman series (except Codename 47).

It's like a hub world, easier version of Thief. Also the lead developer was heavily involved with System Shock 2, Deus Ex and most of the thief series and the lead artist worked on Half Life 2. Take that how you will. I personally enjoyed it quite a lot, it was quite short though.

If you like stealth and 'get there your own way' type gameplay, you'll like Dishonored. I loved not having to follow a set route. If you're looking for some action, you'll probably be disappointed.

If you like video games you will like dishonored. I wouldn't call it a classic, but its a good solid game.

If you liked Hitman Abs. You should love Blood money. It's better. Objectively

Dishonored, however is awesome too. Grab it quickly, it's on sale.

I generally seem to gravitate to a more stealth approach with games like these, but I think this was the first game I played where I didn't enjoy the stealth elements. Game felt a bit 'soulless' to me, found myself forcing to play it, and eventually just gave up.
