So, is this still a good wireless router?

Or is it outdated by now? Pretty much the only router I see with lots of reviews and heavily 5/4 starred.

I used that router for a long time (Probably 8 years) and it worked great. That being said, it's very outdated now and I would recommend against it even if you use custom firmware. I just bought this router last week and so far have been satisfied with it.

Are there wireless routers that are cheaper, around 50$ or less that you would recommend? Buying it for uncle to use to do some light internet surfing and work stuff. So, no gaming.

I'm looking at these three at the moment and don't really know whether they are good or not.
