Just Cause 2 Modding

#1TiamatKillerPosted 8/5/2013 4:54:30 PM
So I was going to try out Just Cause 2 (so far, just modding it. Haven't actually played the game yet) but I'm getting an internal server error for what I assume is the main modding website for JC2.

Is there another place where I can get mods or what? And does anyone know if the modding involves copy/pasting into folders, or is there a manager a la NMM?

Installing mods is all done manually, no manager to help out.

Once we perfect building Mechs, I expect there to be a factory in Mexico pumping out a brand call Mechsican. I wanna buy me a Mechsican.

Ok...I really wanted to try this game out but it seems I'll have to wait. The mod website is just down and I can't find other places to get mods for it.

I get that you want to mod it but the vanilla game itself is fantastic

Oh, I don't doubt that it's fun.

It's just that I've heard about so many stories about the stuff you can do with a modded JC2, and I was looking forward to it.

But it's not a big deal. The game will still be there, and hopefully the site will eventually come back.

You should play JC2 trough the story and missions once before radically changing it's gameplay elements. Not just because it's good as is, but it will let you get a better idea of what mods you would prefer.

(the exception being JC2-MP tests and BoloPatch when you just want to have mindless fun)
