I would not consider a TV a monitor. TV's and monitors are made differently. A TV is and can be used as a viewing/display divice for your computer but its cetainly not a monitor. TV's are inferior to a monitor.

I have two Dell U2312HM IPS monitors and one 46 inch Samsung LED TV. I've been tempted to get a third U2312HM, but my desk isn't too big and my GPU probably isn't up for three monitor gaming.

One 27".

I've found that if I want to do some web-browsing or something while gaming, it's a lot cheaper to just do ALT+TAB than buy a new monitor.
