My USB drive is write protected. How do I remove it?

This is the exact USB in question.

I dont understand why it would be write protected, I've never come across a USB drive with this before.

Look for a switch on the side of the drive.

If all else fails you can always just copy everything on it to your pc and try a re-format. Just right click the drive in my computer and there should be an option for it.

There is no physical switch. I've looked over it several times.

Could be the encryption software it comes with.
You can try removing the software.

Never seen any USB flash drives that has write protection before... Did you try plugging it on another computer and format it from there?

Whatever default stuff was on my USB is gone now. I even tried seeing if there were hidden files but nothing is showing.

I'll just call Sandisk support in the morning. What is this write protection suppose to benefit?

In case anyone is interested anymore I called Sandisk about the issue and said its an error found in a small number of USB drives and must be replaced. Thank god I bought this just last week.
