Japan doesn't accept donations for relief efforts, if you earmark part of a donation to go to anything involving Japan it's going to sit in a bank account somewhere doing nothing for the rest of eternity.

As for doujin, it's basically the Japanese equivalent of Fanfiction, and indie for the games in particular. Their ip laws are a lot more lenient so it's easier to commercialize them there.

I thought doujin just meant small publication? Not necessarily fanworks at all, but without any major backing. Basically, Japan's indie scene.
