MMORPG Suggestions? (thread #22323235543)

#1AceallwaysPosted 8/15/2013 2:07:56 PM
I have found myself searching for a new MMORPG but cannot seem to find what I am looking for.

The problem with many games I have played lately (Neverwinter, GW2) is that they seem to require me to play frequently, and not just casually pop in (millions of dailies, mail to look through etc).
I have a newborn and a toddler, so I can only play every few days. I am looking for a game I can casually pop into and have fun for a bit.
I don't want to have to find a group and enter a 2hr dungeon.
What I really like in MMORPGs:
-impossible to reach level cap
-no level scaling
-warping around rather than walking for ages
-looking more awesome as you grow more powerful
-easy to group up, rewarded for doing so
-grinding alone is also viable

Basically, MU Online (Korean Webzen) was my favorite game for many years. I eventually left since it is so full of hackers/dupers, it runs at a horrible frame rate, and is otherwise quite dated (horribly written networking/lagfest). I have spent the last year or two trying to find essentially the same thing but modernized (even if MU just improved the frame rate and networking I could probably go back to it).

Despite a dozen MMOs coming out every month nothing is quite my flavor.

Things that have come close: 2Moons, Cabal

I know my taste is what most consider terrible (Grindfest), but I just love it!

I'm looking forward to Archeage. Take a look.

Looks promising! I will follow it now. Meanwhile I broke down and started playing MU again...
