so real quick last question from me, how does an i7 920- 950 compare to the newer ones today at present time?

and he also just sold me his 2012 hp zr30w pc monitor for 400 dollars, so total investment is around 600 dollars, monitor lists for around 1000 dollars on amazon i think and newegg. but thanks guys for the help, saves me from going to the ps4 or xbox one.

That's crazy :| Well, it's an awesome monitor. Downside: running games smoothly at 2560x1600 is tough, even for a GTX 680, but I'm sure you will enjoy the experience.
