Just checking why or why not. I took the plunge myself several weeks back.

I can't wait until 2TB SSDs are sub $200 then I will switch to SSDs exclusively.

I want the samsung's 840 of 120 GB, but in my country it can't be found yet for less than $200.

I don't have the money at the moment, and if I'm going to get an SSD, I need at least a 512 GB.

Current sizes just aren't big enough to support my setup properly.

I got one. Primary reason was.... just for kicks, since I was making a new build. I got one at a good sale and set it up as my boot drive. Fast start up and shut down speeds. Near instantaneous installation and uninstallation. Programs load straightaway.

They're neat, but I don't really do anything that makes living without them unimaginable or anything. I plan to buy a second, bigger drive for load intensive games.

Don't SSD yet. Prices are falling rapidly and I'd suspect a TB to be within the $200 margin in a few years.

I don't buy it. What would you put on the SSD?

Why would you need a TB of SSD performance? Do you need movies running off the SSD? Music? Provide some reasoning, please.

I run a pretty complicated multiboot setup. Anything below 240GB would be an absolute joke, and 240 would be cramped.
