Do you not see how much politics is tit for tat?

Or understand the concept of inference? Because your reply shows you really don't understand what the verb "to relate" means. Hint: It involves inductive reasoning; maybe such a basic feat is beyond you and so you ignore it, but it doesn't mean it's not applicable.
And just because it gives you a legal right to shut it down in one place, doesn't prevent them from popping up again elsewhere and begin disseminating whatever illegal materials again. Hint: Lots of stuff is illegal, such as murder and fraud, but that doesn't stop it from occurring.

No amount of lobbying or copyright concerns will persuade all the t1/t2s based in NA to delink with the rest of the world and isolate themselves. The only way to get the result they're after is to have other nations cooperate with their scheme.

I don't see what that has to do with my point. Or for that matter yours. If China could embarrass us so easily by making a flimsy comparison of our Internet policy to theirs, they could do that right now. They could have done that a long time ago.

Or understand the concept of inference? Because your reply shows you really don't understand what the verb "to relate" means. Hint: It involves inductive reasoning; maybe such a basic feat is beyond you and so you ignore it, but it doesn't mean it's not applicable.

I find deductive reasoning to be much more reliable when dealing with simple problems, and I'll share a little bit with you. Due process involves personal legal rights, and SOPA doesn't take away any of them. Therefore due process is irrelevant to SOPA, therefore SOPA does not bypass it. Therefore any "relating" to SOPA on grounds of bypassing SOPA is faulty reasoning.

And just because it gives you a legal right to shut it down in one place, doesn't prevent them from popping up again elsewhere and begin disseminating whatever illegal materials again. Hint: Lots of stuff is illegal, such as murder and fraud, but that doesn't stop it from occurring.

Your point being what exactly? I don't see how this refutes any of my points, and unless you're trying to argue that we shouldn't prosecute murder and fraud, I don't see any possible points of yours that this could possibly support.

No amount of lobbying or copyright concerns will persuade all the t1/t2s based in NA to delink with the rest of the world and isolate themselves. The only way to get the result they're after is to have other nations cooperate with their scheme.

What makes you think that totally isolating the US is the goal? Seems to me that if they can simply reduce piracy by a significant degree, they'll consider the measures successful. That doesn't require total isolation or cooperation from anyone outside the country.

Yea I can't possibly imagine why anyone on the planet could possibly want an optional tool to block pornography and violent content from being viewed on their computer. Nope, none whatsoever.

Optional tools already exist.

And....so? Horrendously bad logic. If something exists, that's it, don't make an alternatives? So lets all use our DOS computers to browse AskJeeves to look up the latest laser disc releases, all on AOL dial up?

Since when do alternative options=bad? Are you a communist?

Would it help if I bolded the 's' in 'tools' for you. M'kay 1 sec...
