If your IQ is above your cpu idle temps then Win8 is superior to every version before it. There is basically no argument against it, besides the butthurt people who haven't ever used it for more than 5 minutes. Also you need to know how to operate a computer, otherwise you might have trouble working it. It's pretty much the only prerequisite.

Another idea I had was the spy/sniper being able to climb into the soldier's rocket launcher and be launched across the map, dealing more damage, but no splash.

W7 64. I think of W7 and W8 as the same thing, even though they aren't. I stuck with XP for almost nine years, and I hope W7 lasts me a similarly long time.

How much better is Windows 8? I may get it after I build a new PC.

I have Windows 8 pro, when freshly installed with no manufacturer specific garbage it boots fast, has an improved task manager and other quality of life changes.

From the perspective of teaching people to use it, no OS should be this difficult to navigate. There have been countless times while demoing the software to clients I will just watch their head spin as I explain there are some apps that opened on the desktop, and some that hide the whole thing and have no exit button.

Switching between fullscreen metro apps and desktop apps is plain confusing for 99% of users, it's a distinction that never needed to be introduced

I tell them here are all your useful programs that you know, and over here are a bunch of new iphone apps that you'll never touch.

Sure, if by superior you mean "takes more clicks to do the same thing as before because we fixed lots of things that weren't broken."
