Wait, so they haven't made a new Burnout since Paradise was released?

Didn't EA become Criterion's publisher just a couple of years ago? Naturally they've been focusing on just the Need For Speed franchise ever since.

EDIT: I just realized they've been published by EA way before that. lol

they did NFS: Hot Pursuit and the new NFS: Most Wanted. they feel a little like burnout but without the amazing crash demolition.

They did some work in the he upcoming NFS: Rivals which was really fun from what I tested at the E3 this year but the main studio is Ghost games.

It was said last year that Criterion were now the main studio for the NFS series but this year, Criterion announced that they are now focusing to make games other than racing games. So yeah this is pretty sad because we might never get a new burnout or at least not from Criterion.
Some fear death, others pray for it.

I was sooooo disappointed that the Ultimate box did not come with any of the Premium DLC, especially the Big Surf Island which is fun.

I did like Revenge the Most, but 3 was very much a classic and still a lot of fun.

I hope they make Black 2.

EA's original plan was to have Criterion and Slightly Mad Studios making a new NFS game every year, each studio alternating releases.

EA wouldn't leave SMS alone to make their games, and EA's meddling ruined a lot of SMS's simulation aspects. SMS left EA to start a new simulation, Project Community Assisted Racing Similation (PCars.)

PCars looks fantastic if you like racing sims.

NFS: Most Wanted is a glorified Burnout game. Give it a shot.
