10/10, for me. I'm really enjoying arc, can't wait to see how smn play. I'll properly level leveling/playing PLD, SMN, and WHM. It's good to have finally found a mmo I can play and love again. I also pre-order a stranded copy for the PS3.

I gave it a 7/10.

There's a lot of charm in it. I love the FF theme setting. The job system can be a lot of fun to mess with. You can tell they put a lot of effort into everything. But, as always for me, the combat is what matters. That, and a little bit of questing on the side.

If combat actually had you dodging real-time swings, arrows, and magic, I could see myself subbing 10 times over with the rest of the polish the game has. But no. I'm just not into paying monthly for walking up in front of monsters, having me hit them and letting them hit me with the occasional dice roll landing on miss.

I do hope they have enough of a following because I have a little fanboy in me for Square Enix, but I also hope they learn how to more efficiently make MMOs, because I can't make myself agree with them spending a lot of time and money in areas that may not matter as much as others, as much as I appreciate those parts.

They have to do much more than give me a polished version of the same MMO I've been playing for years to get me to invest.

i gave it a 5/10 because i saw the game without all the final fantasy to it. It's really just like any other MMO. I think the best part about the game is the environments. But if this game didn't have the final fantasy name added to it, it wouldn't really be anything. Beta was a little too boring for me.

Ignoring the extreme options (1 and 10) the current average score here is 6.05.

So I wasn't as harsh as I expected with my 5/10.

Still, things aren't looking good for FFXIV 2.0.

Coming from what it was, a solid 9. Based on what it is now, in between 7.5 and 8, it's missing a few things, doing some things wrong, and others need improvement but other than that it's playable as an MMO and I fully expect it to have a decent sized community.
Ooo eee, oo ah ah, ting tang, walla walla bing bang.
