What's the difference between the 770 & 780?

The same for the 7950 & 7970.

Huge difference between the 770 and 780. Different GPU's, 780 has 50% more VRAM and memory bandwidth too.

7950's and 7970's are relatively close in performance and specs.

I'd say hold off until AMD releases the second part of their Crossfire fix. At this point in time, none of those setups will drive three monitors smoothly in any reasonably demanding game.

Good info, I heard July 31st was the date for the fix, correct?

That was the first part. The second part should be coming in a few weeks. As of right now, eyefinity isn't supported.

Oh I see, thanks for that. I'm still tired lol I don't know why I was only focused on 31st and ignored the fact that it's not July anymore.

I was talking more about the in depth difference. I don't understand what Keplar 104 & 114 are and how they effects performance.

I don't know, if you want the absolute best performance from one card then it is the 780. Normally I would say wait for AMD's cards to come out a little later this year but since they don't have an official date it's hard to say that. Even if you decided to go Nvidia after that, it's likely they would price drop because as of right now they are overpriced. Two 7970s are going to give you the best performance for the money but as Snuckie said, Eyefinity isn't supported yet and given AMD's multi-card history I understand wanting to stay away even if they are at the top of their game right now.

There isn't a lot to add other than if you decide to go with the 780, you are paying more than the performance increase dictates it's worth. That's what happens when you lack competition in a particular sector. As long as you are personally okay with that, enjoy.

The 780 is overpriced. The 770 or 7970 Ghz are the best value for your money for a single card. The 7990 is the best value for multicards.

Picked 780 cause I'm a NVIDIA fanboy. Thankfully PCH is very tolerant and accepting and no one messes with me about it.
