Wireless Gaming Mice

#1ZeroRaiderPosted 8/19/2013 10:15:13 AM
So has any company decided to take up the challenge of creating a proper 21st century mouse besides Logitech? Just about everything I see is wired trash. WHAT YEAR IS IT

The G700 is the only good wireless gaming mouse I've found. That's pretty sad.

For those of us who aren't slaves to a desk, we need something else. This is 2013; PC gamers no longer sit at desks.

I'm not running a ****ing cord from my tower across the living room to my recliner. Do they even make wired mice with cords that long?

They make gaming mice wired because of potential latency issues with wireless. In the eyes of the companies that make gaming mice, most of their consumers prefer instant response to their movements as opposed to the convenience of a wireless mouse.

Also, speak for yourself, tons of PC gamers still sit at desks.

Not even a superhuman could notice any additional latency over modern wireless technology vs. wired. It's purely a placebo thing. My Logitech G700 is just as responsive as whatever corded thing you're using is.

Why on Earth would you sit at a desk for something that is meant to be a relaxing, recreational activity?

Desks are meant for productivity.

I shall defer to you on all matters of my personal opinion from now on.

Although I do tend to agree that most people probably can't tell the difference, but there is a slight difference, and for people who play a lot of online games, they value the extra response time, no matter how small.

I sit on my double bed with my 32 inch hdtv at the bottom hooked up to my pc. I made myself a mouseboard with a pillow case and a plastic lid and a mousemat on top of it lol.

Your bigger problem is that pretty much every gaming mouse either wired or wireless is a laser mouse. Laser nice have inferior sensors with prediction, built-in acceleration, and usually low perfect control speeds.

If you game with acceleration turned om, you might not notice a difference. To those of us who play with acceleration off, the G400 is a far better mouse than the G400 because it has a flawless sensor.
