nVidia GT610 for $5 after MIR @ TigerDirect stores

#1CardigansFanPosted 8/19/2013 4:25:09 PM(edited)
Didn't see it posted here and figured I'd post for somebody who wants a dirt-cheap HTPC card or something:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2728844

Its $25 after rebate online, but apparently $5 after ($40) rebate in-store:

It's worth if you have integrated graphics and want to play Payday 2 which doesn't seem to work with Intel HD.

Oh, you thought they made this game for you? You clearly bought the wrong game.

Eh too lazy to fill out a rebate form. Otherwise I could use a spare $5 video card.

I have one of those sitting in a box collecting dust. Is it useful at all?

It's useful if your processor doesn't have integrated graphics. If you botch up a graphics card BIOS flash or something.

Throw one of these and another stick of RAM into an old computer and you'll be able to play some indie games.

I just bought one of those two days ago for my mom's HTPC that has an old Clarksdale in it. Best Buy price matched Amazon, so it was $40...she paid for it anyways.

If I went to Best Buy will they adjust the price to match this, even though it's a two day old purchase? BB does normally price match with Tigerdirect. Obviously it would just be down from $40 to $25, I wouldn't care about the MIR.

TD are notorious for their crappy MIR system. Good luck getting your money. Thought this was common knowledge by now.

I did three rebates with them, and all of them went through except for one because it was my fault.

I've done two rebates with them with no problem, first I've heard of any complaints about TD specifically and not just "rebates are worthless" or something.
