I've done a rebate with a HDD I bought off Tiger Direct and it went well.

Anyways, this card isn't good enough for physx if I'm using a gtx 460, is it?

I have a hd 5830 laying around, how does the 610 compare?

GT 610 worked wonderfully for my parents old 2008 era PC. I bought them one for Christmas for 10 bucks off newegg so they could stream movies to their 50 inch. Worked great for that with no hickups. I can't imagine it's good for anything else but the lowest end of the lowest end of games. Generally the 610-630 are just HTPC or low end multi-monitor capable cards and not much else.

Pretty sure the 5830 is much better. The GT610 is probably equivalent to the best Intel integrated, maybe a teensy bit better based on drivers and whatnot.

Anyway, so apparently the $40 rebate was a typo - it was up $40 for certain cards, but just $20 for the GT610. Manager came over, looked into it, and did an instant $20 off so I could still do the $20 rebate. Didn't seem too happy but did it without my asking lol

The 610 looks pretty useless. Weaker than integrated in some cases.

GT 610 is probably similar to the HD 6520g in my laptop.

I wouldnt recommend it as a gaming card, although if you really wanted to, you could run a lot of games on low at between 480 and 720p at like 30ish FPS.....

Not a great card at all, but worth $5 if you need a spare.
