ESO. FF14 had its chance, now the engine is old and the gfx look like crap. not to mention same old ffxi gameplay.

FF14 is one of the prettiest games I ever played including single player PC games with absurd requirements.

played ffxi since 2003
played ffiv since beta and a couple of months into its release. obviously I wasn't alone in my opinion that it sucked or it wouldn't have gotten reworked.

All i'm saying is that it had it's chance and I don't think it will compete with this re-release. especially being pay to play.

I'll jump on it when its f2p.

I tried the FF14 benchmark last night on my laptop.
I was surprised that setting to maximum (the preset) and at 1080p I still got 6100 score.
I don't know if that is a lot or a little for a 560m but I was a little disappointed because Tomb Raider 2013 brings it to it's knees, and yet I only noticed a slight bit of stuttering when the chocobo riders first show on screen the first time.

The character creator for FF14 wasn't that impressive.

I haven't seen any gameplay or benchmarking programs for ESO.
Someone have a link to one?

I never liked any of the online FF's. Did not even like 11, even though that was quite popular at the time.

That said, I have really given up on following MMO's, they keep disappointing while other genres are providing great online multiplayer and single player experiences that are not quite as old and tired as those in the MMO genre.

ESO is like an Elder Scrolls game without the things that make Elder Scrolls games fun. I thought devs already had stopped trying making MMOs out of everything, but it seems I was wrong.
