Will this laptop run at a decent speed?

Thinking of asking for this for my b-day.

Depends. Give it some carbs and let it rest 24 hours before it runs.

Should get some good speed depending on training.

It will be very slow at almost any task. What do you want to use it for? Gaming is almost out of the question.

Just everyday usage. Mind helping me find a good laptop for a $350-400 price range?

For every day usage it's fine, for gaming, no.

At $350-400, look for an AMD APU or intel i3 with an HD 4000 IGP if you want to game at all. Having recently gone through this with a friend, you may need to get a refurb seeing how it's off season as far as deals go.
