When i download stuff on Steam, it takes up my whole bandwidth

They added that like one or two betas ago...

Steam > Settings > Downloads > Limit bandwidth to (whatever)

Doesn't that just limit your download rate?

Like i said with origin, I'd get near 1mb Dl speeds and I could still browse quickly.

Maybe Origin uses a different method to calculate download speed. Like using megabytes per second instead of mebibytes per second.

Actually this guy is just another sucker that EA feeds off.

EA shows your downloads rate as what it downloads uncompressed even though it is downloading a compressed file.

So if Origin says you are downloading at 1mb/s then you are really downloading at 500 kb/s.

This guy is just another reason that EA gets away with some much bs.

I'm not a sucker.
And I really didn't know that Origin did that.
Well anyways, thanks.

I know you didn't which is why you are a sucker.

They suckered you into thinking they gave you a better download service and you lapped it up.

Had no one told you, you would have thought that forever.

Therefore, you are a sucker. An innocent sucker perhaps but a sucker nonetheless.

If you weren't a sucker, you'd have known EA will do anything to make itself look better. Absolutely anything. This would make you question everything they do and you would have researched this subject to make an informed decision.

And you are welcome.

Origin has reported my download at 9MB/s. On a good day, I get about 7MB/s at best.
