I'm trying to play through Origin and the game won't start. Mass Effect 2 and 3 start fine, but one just says syncing cloud storage and never starts. What do I do?

I had to run the game as an administrator to get it to run the first time. After that it launched fine from origin. Haven't played/installed 2 but 3 worked fine as well.

Also, I ran ME in Admin mode and still nothing.

If you can't figure it out try asking through their live chat. Help > Origin Help > Live Chat at the top.

Yeah.. the first time I did it I waited about 45 minutes then got someone who didn't say anything at all and I waited 15 minutes before I finally closed the chat. Second time I did it I got someone who fixed my problem though.

I just leave it in the background as I do whatever and try not to forget about it.

If I started to play a game on Steam, will any type of noise alert me that somebody sent a message?

The support is one of the good things about them.

For Steam you're looking at a couple weeks.

You need to run Origin in admin mode. Ran into this issue myself (but with Steam).

Also try disabling cloud sync.
