buying retail origin is the best because you have both the disc and the digital install..if you ever uninstall the game you can simply install from disc rather than download 15+gb

That is a good point. Along with the free shipping, that may be enough to change my vote.

Until you consider the updates you're going to have to download regardless

yeah, i meant more in the way that it's the same price on origin whether or not you get digital or physical. If you buy physical, you get digital... with the free shipping, What's the difference? may as well get something tangible for your money, no matter how trivial.

Buying retail. I like having physical media and its better to install from a disc than sit through a 10+gb dl for two hours.

Perhaps in a sale one year after release. Aside from BF3 being meh, you're always just getting ripped off by buying at launch

probably buying it digitally, but i think i might wait for a price drop. like, at least $20 off on black friday or something like that would be nice. i'll probably be busy with school anyway, and it's not like BF3 will die over night after BF4 comes out

No, because Battlefield is effectively a yearly rehash just like CoD, except it releases a $60 expansion pack each other year instead.

I don't know why I'm feeding this troll but... no. The release cycle is nothing like CoD.

And I have it preordered through Origin. I now have access to the BF4 beta 3 different ways. :|
