Eh just wondering because people take off their heatsinks for a variety of other reasons. It's a good time to peek at your memory too.

nooo idea. I installed heatsinks on my IC's with my twin turbo II. I noticed back then what they were, completely forgot

Sounds like Elpida to me. Their RAM usually doesn't clock too well.


So why is it being used on the 780 lightning?

Supply issue. The Classified's also switched to Elpida from Samsung after the first batch of cards.
