7950 buy or wait

#1techshawn30Posted 8/20/2013 7:15:51 PM
I see a 7950 for 220 the lowest I seen so far. I am wondering should I get now or will it be even lower at black Friday? I also seen a post about 7950 having micro studder is it true or did that person have a bad card? I would wait on 8000 series but will be in the $400-500 with stock coolers.

They honestly aren't going to get much cheaper than this.

I bought this card this morning also. Really great deal ($178 AR). I highly recommend saving the game coupon for later, unless you really want Tomb Raider. Rumors are that AMD will let you choose Battlefield 4 or Watch Dogs later when they come out (+2 more games of course), which makes the deal incredible if you were planning to buy either one anyways (value would be higher if you choose to sell the coupon instead too).

hmm I will probably wait on battlefield4 or watch dogs before I use the coupon then. But how do I use it will it be attached to my account or is it a code they give you?

Should be a code they give you when they send the video card.

I have a 3GB 7950 and it runs pretty much everything really well on high/ultra (at 60fps 1920x1080). Regarding the microstutters, I reckon it was a bad card as I haven't experienced anything like that.

So far I've only had issues with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood which has a weird framerate lag (looks like it's 30fps when it's on 60fps). It's a really solid card, especially at a discount price.
