Can someone please help me with a weird glitch I'm having on my PC

Okay I tried posting this last week but nobody replied.

Basically what happens once every few days or so is I'll be in a game and everything just gets sluggish. It's not lag as it does this for single player modes too.

Just a huge FPS dip.

So I will alt tab out of the game to look into my processes etc and even the desktop will be laggy.

Once I reboot and go back into the game everything is fine for another day or longer sometimes.

Just curious what this may be caused by.

Here is my system spec. In addition I have a 2 TB HDD that some steam games are on. Windows is loaded on the SSD however along with the other half of my steam library. Games that are on my SSD still have the above issue.

Scheduled updates/backups of some sort?

You should monitor your CPU and GPU temperatures while playing.

I suppose it could be an update but I don't see anything downloading when playing. Even still with that PC should I notice that much of a drop off for a simple update?

As for the CPU temps my PC runs around 60-70 degrees when playing. I've got a new cooler I plan on putting in next week to try and have it max around 40 degrees if that.

It could be vdroop. Have you overclocked your CPU at all?
