And do they typically support multiple devices at once or does each adapter vary?

Some adapters vary apparently depending on the device. I've heard of instances where some BT adapters wouldn't work with PS3 controllers or Wii controllers. Also if you are using it for a controller just know that if you sync it to a PS3 controller it installs custom drivers which prevent any other devices from using it.

Console developers boggle my mind with the stupid **** they do with Hardware & Software.
