Post your 3DMark Fire Strike score (GTX 700 owners see how your cards do!)

Ah didn't realize it idles and goes to 4.5 when necessary, because on my results of the 3DMark it listed stock clock at 3.4 and turbo at 4.2 (It's currently stable at this setting on air)

In fact my CPU speed idles and drops to 1600Mhz which didn't seem right

When I saw both your stock and turbo at the same speed on your 3DMark Fire Strike results I thought you just had it run at that speed as normal.

This is my first build in which I did any overclocking (edit: I mean this by all of my previous builds never OC'd). I did a lot of reading over at overclocked.net and other forums and push hardware with people making reports of pushing their i5's to 4.5, so I figured something was up and wanted to figure this out myself if the drop to 1600Mhz was an anomaly.

Yeah, my CPU drops to around 2GHz when it's idle too. The 3DMark reporting software isn't very reliable.

Sucks that your H220 died. . .it's definitely a sign that you should build a full custom loop though.

Just be careful when overvolting on a reference 780, cards start dying at around 1.35V.

lol, Pretty much, I've just got to get together like $600 to get a new case and all the components for the loop. Will be my first time setting one up which should be fun. I should have the new pump within a week though so I'll at least be able to bench around 4.8-4.9ghz on the cpu.

Here's my latest result with unlocked voltages on the cards.

Just put in my new 780 Lightning and reinstalled windows. Time for bed, overclock tomorrow I guess. Asic is reading 85.1% so I am pretty happy with that, can't wait to see how far I can push it.

That's a very nice card you got there. I'm expecting some huge overclocks!

Managed to unlock my Titan's voltage to 1.3 without bios mods, simple dos command for MSI and viola. Now just need for the ACX cooler to arrive, mod the bios to accept a power load of 120% and good to go.

both cards at 1306mhz/7.2Ghz mem at 1.28v. I can tell I'll easily get another 50mhz at least at max volts once I get water cooling for each card.

Should get my h220 pump at some point this week so I should be able to add on another 200-300 points from a higher cpu overclock too.

You might as well bios mod now as you are going to need to do it to disable boost 2.0 anyway.

I bios mod off and on, when benchmarking. I'll probably leave it on it when I get the new cooler ne way..

I should be able to hit 1300 with around 2.2v, 1250 is some what stable @ 2.1

but as you said, boost 2.0 kicks it down.

So I ran a benchmark without the bios mod, maintained 1.28v but down kicked the core to like 700mhz or some crazyness cause I was hitting 105% usage.

Saw this and decided to run it.

I'm happy with that, I guess. Don't really care too much about actual benches or anything, I'm running games quite well and should for the next couple of years. By then I should be able to upgrade and last the rest of the console generation.

That's some nice scaling with overclocking.
