Huh, so DerPancake only scored a hair higher than me with the same 770 even though his CPU is a 3 years newer and a full 2GHz faster then my i7 930.

Mine -> http://www.3dmark.com/fs/786360

His -> http://www.3dmark.com/fs/786834

Although I did notice the only acheivement they listed for my benchmark...

[ Brawn - Your GPU is ready to rumble, but your CPU doesn't want to play. ]

For some reason I'm still not convinced my CPU is holding me back.

So you were only running your 930 at 1.8GHz? Then you still have at least another 2GHz of headroom; OC that thing!

It should have read 2.80GHz though. That's the stock clock I have it at. I wonder why it stole a GHz from me. lol

Well that makes more sense. You can still squeeze another GHz out though!

Apparently it's easy to get 4.0GHz on some kind of aftermarket cooling. I just don't know if it's worth it since I run all my CPU intensive music software on a laptop. This 930 barely gets taxed unless I'm playing GTA 4.

I scored low on this benchmark but I am getting seriously awesome gaming performance as far as my eyes can tell. Metro: Last Light's 3-4x SSAA and Tomb Raider's TressFX are the only things that gave it a hard time.

It has to do with the CPU running at idle clock speeds when 3d mark runs its system information collection thing.

I thought i'd score higher :/

Edit: ... my overclock disappeared.

Well that'd explain it ha.

You can probably boost your graphics score by 30-40%, but there's not much you can do about the physics score.

Much bettter score although my physics dropped by 600 o_0. I guess when i'd updated to 13.8 i had blocked unsigned drivers so my overclocking wasn't doing anything. Upgraded to 13.8beta2 and got er going again.

Your CPU is HURTIN'

Change that and your score may rocket up a fair bit.

sigh... I'm a little disappointed. I have a 3570k and couldn't even get the bench to finish with ANY overclock. Guess I'll fiddle around with some voltages and such... Hopefully a 7950 will bump it up quite a bit.

Here's mine

My cpu was clocked at 4.8Ghz, it never detects at that high of a clock rate for me.

That's a great score.

Have you tried the new Afterburner yet?

Not yet, I'm gonna check it out though. Is it the beta or the regular version that has it unlocked?

I believe it was a beta for the new Lightning that allows the unlocked voltage.

Sadly I only get the standard +37 with no further unlock. Oh well, I've actually been running my cards at 1125Mhz for lower temps and volts so it doesn't even really matter, I still hit 96 fps for my monitors overclock in pretty much every game.

I wish I could OC my cards more. Unfortunately, **** just gets too hot past 900MHz core.

Edit: Which is why I only run 900 MHz core for benchmarks. Normally, I only run with an 832 MHz factory OC.
