I have two options: Build now or wait for Broadwell and Maxwell

It's going to be one of those two. Which would you recommend?

Well I plan to build from scratch and give my current PC to my nephew as his first gaming PC. That PC's specs are below.

Well you could just pop in a new video card and you'd be set for another few years, but if your nephew really needs a PC. . .

I appreciate the advice but I'm pretty set on giving my current PC away. Had it for 4 years now and I'm financially secure to the point where I can now build a new high end PC.

And it will be a nice gift for my nephews birthday. :)

Yeah so since you won't have a PC soon, I don't see any option but build now. Broadwell and Maxwell are still a ways out.

If you always wait for the next best thing, you'll never get around to buying parts.

Well, I could always wait until next year to give it away. His Birthday is late in the year, so he can wait. After all, he's getting a pretty good gaming PC for free lol.

I just can't decide between doing it now or waiting until next year because that's when Maxwell and Broadwell come out. Q1 and Q2 I believe.

I feel like I'm exempt from this philosophy this time because I'm either doing it now or next year. I have no plans to wait any longer than 2014.

As I said in a previous topic.

Wait for Haswell, it'll be out of this world

A good gaming PC with a 4890? The GTX 770 is thrash (the card I'm using), so how can that be a good gaming PC?!
