Does anyone else find they can never finish a story based game on pc?

Especially if it's on a console?

I've been playing pc for pretty much all my life and I can play games like the sims, dungeon keeper, roller coaster tycoon and the movies for an infinite amount of hours.

But with any game with a single player story mode with a set ending I can never finish it on pc.

I can normally easily finish story based games on console but never on pc.

Anyone else the same?

Probably a waste of money to have bought about 40 games for steam (though they were nearly all games on sale haha)

Nope, I don't have this problem.

I mean, I might lose interest in a story and stop playing, but the fact it's on PC vs Console is not the reason why. A bad story is a bad story no matter where you are, though I guess if I had my expectations lowered because it's on a console I might be a little more forgiving...but not enough to matter.

So yeah... I lose interest in a lot of story mode games because the story is bad, not because of the medium in which it was played.

No, and it's strange to me that you have that problem.

Well obviously I don't complete bad games on console just cause they're on console.
But say I got a game like metro last light on both pc and console, even though the pc version is better in almost every way chances are I'd get bored of it on pc but if I played it on console I'd be able to finish it. Idk why I'm like that

I started to answer your question with some possibilities, but then I saw that you finished story based console games, so I got nothin'.

Except - finish the games! It's not that you "can't", it's that you choose not to.

Not at all. I play mostly story based games and always finish them unless they suck. It's multiplayer games and games with no end-game that I don't ever put much time into nowadays.

Although Euro Truck Simulator 2 is an exception. I'll be playing that to the grave.

Sounds like a personal problem to me...So nope, I've never had that problem or anything remotely close to it.

Then again, I don't generally buy the same game on console and PC at the same time... so if I have the game on PC and then buy it on console, I've already played it out on PC and so console will get ignored for the most part... if I buy the game on console and later get it on PC, then chances are I've played it out on Console (unless there's something significantly new about the PC version, like modding).

It's the RPG games I have trouble finishing. Story based games I usually finish in a flash.
