Wireless 360 controller with adapter vs wired 360 controller

Wireless 360 controller with adapter is great. Never had any problems with it.

The wired controller works in Assassin's Creed (the first one), and the wireless one doesn't. Take that however you want.

I take it as incorrect information. I definitely used a wireless XBOX360 controller to play AC1 before with the receiver and charge kit. You may need to change something in the options but it does work.

I've used both. Wireless works perfectly. I switched though because I hated paying for batteries.

Where can you get a wireless adapter? I searched around and unless it is in some oddball section I can't seem to find them anywhere aside from like amazon or ebay.

wireless 99% of the time

wired when I need a headset because I only have 360 headsets and a wired controller does not shut off when idle.

I use wired since I found it at Target on clearance for $10 years ago. Wireless could be nice, but I haven't used controllers enough to justify looking into it yet.

Grab a wireless with rechargeable batteries.

Wireless adapters work fine. Dunno about bootlegs, as I have an official MS one. The only thing I have a problem with is that they cause a slight buzz in my headset when the adapter is plugged into the USB port, whether I'm using the controller or not. I have TB X12s, so I dunno if it's that or just the entire USB port.

It's not a real problem unless I'm talking to people in Skype or Mumble, they can hear it.
