Do you want to play games? That laptop isn't much of a gaming machine.

There's a near limitless backlog of games that that could easily play.

I considered that, however I would still recommend the 3DS anyway.

So the 3DS is probably the better thing to ask for, right?

There's only one 3rd gen i3 that has a 1.8Ghz CPU and it has an HD 4000. This isn't listed on the site.

If you're still in high school; which I think you are since you're asking a question like this. Get the 3DS. Get a laptop only if you're heading to college where it actually makes sense to have one.

If you don't have your own computer for school work already, I'd go for the laptop.

Although I love my 3DS

I'd go for the 3DS. I've been telling myself I'd get a laptop for years, but I never have. I couldn't be happier with my 3DS, though. It helps, for me at least, that there's a new Legend of Zelda that is a sequel to A Link to the Past being released soon as well. So I'd say leave the laptop, take the 3DS.

If you need a laptop get the laptop, that's a great buy for the price. If you just want something for games then the 3DS is going to be the better choice, especially for portable gaming.
Every time I try to go where I really wanna be it's already where I am, 'cuz I'm already there
