I have a msi p7n diamond mobo, I don't think it will support a 670 because it needs a pci-e 3.0 slot. I don't think my mobo has that...

Unless you plan to buy a new mobo + CPU soon, you should get a cheaper card. I don't know what exact CPU you have, but you're probably going to get a huge bottleneck.

You don't need a PCIe 3.0 motherboard, and it won't make any difference to the performance of your new card.
