wow so this is like a reboot of the cryengine series? because it's not called cryengine 4

seriously though, I really respect crytek for being on the leading edge of rendering techniques, although I wish more devs would use their engine

the several microstutters in their ryse demonstration didn't look so great though (fox engine has this too ugh)

Why isn't the cry engine used more? There must be a reason people all flock to the unreal engine. Price? Ease of use?.

Both. There is no easier way to make your game look pretty than letting UE3 slap its "shiny wet metal" look over everything.

crytek wants too much..better to take a cut on the license than to not take anything at all

if the price was good this could have been just as popular as unreal engine
