How is console vs PC even an argument anymore?

The main reasons console will always be king in my household:

-Used games
-reselling games
-more physical games
-renting games
-console cost
-easier to move between rooms or friends house
-more multiplayer friendly games (split screen)
-would be a bunch of power used in the house since I would need 2 gaming pc's
-the biggest reason though is with a pc I would have to have a table, tray or desk of some sort around to play. Playing on the couch or bed is much more comfortable.

My gaming desktop is cool and all but it's more of just an extra thing to play.

If you buy a laptop you can do all of the above, plus play for 2 hours on a bus, plane, ship or train, if there isnt any ac power.

God, these topics are stupid. Some people like apples, some like oranges. People are different and like different things.

How is it different, when consoles are just limited PCs...

The differences are very definite and have been outlined on numerous occasions.

I wasn't much of a PC gamer until recently, the main reasons being:

I never had a good enough computer for most games
I prefer JRPGs

Now that I have a good computer I realize that multiplat games are better on PC.

My god BioShock Inifinite looks amazing!

But seriously, the main reason is because exclusives.

Games like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and Tales of are reasons enough for me to get consoles.

I love my PC, but there are just SO many games that only come out on consoles that it's almost impossible for me to understand your thinking on this.

Or lack thereof.

So, I decided to pop back in here to see how the flame war was going on. You idiots are still at it, I see.

Listen to the few people who had added reason to conversation, for crying out loud.

I play games on PC, PS3 and Wii. They each offer things the others don't. They all have advantages and disadvantages and that's why sticking to just one because "it's better" is a stupid, childish answer. If you can't accept that, sorry, but it seems logic defies you.

PC elitists fail to see any advantages to console gaming, namely preference. I like to play sitting on my couch or lying on my bed, not hunched up on my desk. And before "hurr durr you can connect PC to your tv" you're assuming I'm willing to constantly disconnect and connect my PC while also moving it between rooms in some cases, just to play on my tv while consoles already do that.

I can see the advantages to console gaming (hence why I also own consoles) but that's just silly, if I wanted to play my 360 in bed I'd have to move that between rooms as well.

PC hardware doesn't need to match console hardware in price when PC gamers save literal thousands from the software they buy. http://www.steamgamesales.com/

If you buy a games console then you're set for the next 5-10 years. You don't need to update it.

If you buy an average PC then it will be out of date within 2 years and practically obsolete after 5 years.
