So Arkham City crashes every couple minutes for no real reason.

Since I got a few games re-installed, I decided to see how my new 780 would do on Arkham Citys benchmark tool. Was pulling a solid 120+ FPS with everything maxed out, and then the game crashed roughly 45 seconds into the benchmark. Tried twice more and same thing.

I then wanted to make sure it wasn't my card, and booted up Heaven and Valley benchmarks, which went with everything maxed for the full benchmarks, twice each.

So, is there some issue with AC I should know about/how to fix?

Relevant specs in case they're needed-
64 bit W8
3770k
MSI 780
650 PSU
16 GB RAM

never tried the benchmark before.

have you tried just playing the game?

only other thing i can think of is W8 and GFWL... since they're killing GFWL i doubt they would optimize it for W8 in any way.

I tried the main game, crashed about when Catwoman showed up (GOTY edition btw).

Turned off DX11 as some people said it made the game run worse, and still crashed. Turned settings to low, and it still crashed.

All it says is that Windows detected a problem, and it will try to find a solution, which it doesn't seem like it has.

OK, got it to work. Apparently, installing the windows for xbox live or whatever in Win 7 compatability fixed it.
