Not happy with my 212 Evo. Should I get an Kuhler 620 for $35 or a V6 GT?

I idle at 23c, maxes out around 39c with a 2500k OC'd to 4.5 GHz.

What's your vcore? And this is with a 212?

Why are you always smiling?
'Cause it's all so ****in' hysterical.

This topic has me slightly worried. My 4770k is idling at about 36C with a Phanteks cooler. I think the ambient temperature is around 25 degrees though. It gets up to about 62C using Handbrake and about 58-60C benchmarking Hitman Absolution and Tomb Raider... I haven't overclocked it yet either. Should I try re-seating the cooler?

I don't have an after market cooler and I idle at 22C when it's not ridiculously hot(80F+). 33C when it is. My GPU is worse, idles at 46-49C, when it's hot its at 55-59C.

Those IBM EGA cards can get really hot.

I have a 212 Evo on a 4670k overclocked to 4.3, and the idle temp is 29-32 degrees.

I have a roomy case with four 140mm fans though, if you have a cramped case with less airflow it might be warmer (my last CPU in a small case idled around 39-41.)

I have a 2500k at stock speeds.
With a 212 evo I idle at about 30-32c.
Highest I have recorded today is 54-57.

Single 120mm intake and single 120mm outtake.

Could be BS. I have Core Temp going so I'm only posting what the numbers on there are.

I haven't touched my rig in a few months so it's hard to remember. I have the EVO installed and have seen temps at least 4-5c above ambient on idle, 15-17c above ambient while gaming.

Nothing here. Go on, shoo.
