Where are the good back-to-school computer deals?

I'd imagine that with Haswell, Radeon 9000s, etc. out this year, it should be possible to get a new "Back to School" desktop PC with an i5 and decent graphics card for under $500. But I'm not seeing good discounts, heck I'm not seeing ANY discounts. Shouldn't Back to School season be the best time to buy a new computer?

Last year's "Cyber Monday" computer deals sucked too.

Best to go with AMD if you only have $500 to spend.

not necessarily haswell. i5 2xxx or 3xxx is fine, plus x70/x700 or x80/x800 graphics card.
