(Don't know where to post this) Ipod nano 7th generation

Ok, so I'm trying to delete the voice memos app for this. As you can see, I work at a business that does not allow anything with a video recorder, camera and/or sound recorder and the voice memos app is considered to be a sound recorder. I can bring an mp3 player as long as it doesn't have any of those.

I understand you have to have headsets with a microphone in order for the app to appear, but I'm worried that someone who may own that same ipod as mine and may report me to my boss about this and I might end up losing my job if they go and try to see if I have a sound recorder, which I'm trying to get rid of.

Basically, I'm trying to just get rid of voice memos from my ipod and I would like to have a way to completely get rid of the app regardless if the headphones plugged in have a microphone or not, I don't care if I have to hack this thing to get rid of it.

Anything will do as long as it isn't:

A) Just bring a headset that does not have a microphone: The point of this is to get rid of the app completely.

B) Buy a new mp3 player: Ones such as Eclipse suck ass, I once bought one and the response system for fingers and stylus was awful that I had to take it back and Sansas are horrible because mine lost power to 5% despite charging it the day before to 100% without even using it. Point is to not buy and spend money on anything because I find ipods to be the best kind of mp3 player there is.

I could be mistaken, but since the iPod nano does not use iOS, it's not really customizable and you don't get the ability to uninstall apps.
You could try this, but I have no idea if it'll work on the Voice Memos app.
