stutter in games

#1jonnyram4000Posted 8/24/2013 11:40:25 PM
I'm having this odd stutter i don't get it or at least don't notice it when using xbox controller.I have tried 3 different mice and they all do it unpluged every usb beside the keyboard/mouse tested the my old 580's in single and sli did the same with the 670's and after all this still getting this effect its there also in saints row 4.You can tell by the video that sometimes when moving the camera it doesn't happen.I know it's not the fps it's locked at 60 never budge. Seems to be every game just try left 4 dead 2 and it does it also. Did some more testing mafia 2 works no issue just cause 2 works no issue. So far the one that are trouble is left 4 dead 2 beta, Metro 2033, saints row 4 and splinter cell blacklist that's the only one's i tested.

What drivers are you running?

Could be your CPU overclock like the above poster said. I have a hard time believing you're running 5GHz 100% stable for gaming. I can understand to finish benchmarks, but I think you should bring it down to 4.6 to game.

You're also running a non K processor extremely overclocked, meaning you had to significantly alter the BLCK. That could potentially be very unstable.

Return your CPU to stock and retry all your games.

3-way SLI should be smoother than 2-way, but try 2-way just for the sake of it (after returning the CPU to stock, of course).

I've seen these stutters. A hard framerate cap at 60 can fix about 75% of it.

Run MSI Afterburner and monitor your frame time.

I used evga precision to monitor it.Check the 12volt range it's 12.1 if it means anything just got done testing ram 1 at a time incase of a bad stick.Odd thing is this won't happen unless i use mouse 360 controller is unaffected by it.
