Messages like this are being logged on his router.

08/25/2013 14:48:33 Ping Of Death from 69.36.160.71 to [my ip] dropped
08/25/2013 14:48:33 Ping Of Death from 69.36.160.73 to [my ip] dropped
08/25/2013 14:48:34 Ping Of Death from 69.36.160.75 to [my ip] dropped

While router is blocking the PoDs, I'm receiving them from a couple of IPs by this company. Here's a log.

There's plenty more messages than that, but like that.

Not sure what to think about this situation.

Ping of Death doesn't really hurt a modern computer but they may be trying to ping flood which requires them to ping your machine so much that it cant do much else. This however requires your internet connection to be slower then the attackers connection if also works better the worse your CPU is. A good computer with a good internet connection should be able to shrug this off until they move on

Just looked up more info and it looks like the ping of Death has been updated to work on modern machines. However patches have been sent out to fix the exploits it uses. make sure your computer has up to date patches from Microsoft and you should be good to go.
