MSI 610 GT good for a backup card?

Keep a 5670 or 6670 around. Sells for $50-60, can play Crysis on it reasonably well. The DDR5 version sits somewhere between an 8800 and a 9800 512MB.

Once we perfect building Mechs, I expect there to be a factory in Mexico pumping out a brand call Mechsican. I wanna buy me a Mechsican.

I might do that under ideal circumstances, but as it stands I need something to get me by for this week, and this is the only option available.

So I talked the guy down to $25 and bought the card. I captured 1 hour of HD video with it last night, no problem. I also edited and rendered a 30 minute clip of HD video...no problems. So to those of you slamming this card and saying it's not worth the hassle to put it in, chill out. For the price of $30, it's a decent card that gets the job done. Of course it won't be playing the latest games, but nobody expects a $30 card to do that.

Oh and P.S., if you think it's a hassle to install a video card, you're not qualified to be giving advice on PC parts.

The 610 works fine. These people are exaggerating to an entirely absurd level.

I can play Payday 2 on High settings with a 610. It also runs Skyrim & GTA IV at roughly 25-30 Fps on low medium.

The only thing I can't seem to get it to do is work as a dedicated physics card with my 7970.

Oh, you thought they made this game for you? You clearly bought the wrong game.

I streamed Dust: An Elysian Tale & Kerbal @ 60fps but for some reason they didn't record for some odd reason. However all my horrible quality cell phone captures did. PC gaming is nerve wrecking.
