Is Firefox that much safer/more secure than Chrome?

I hear a lot of people say this. I couldn't care less about how fast it is, I've used both and don't notice any real difference. If Firefox is objectively more secure I will definitely use it, but I just Chromes UI a little more and I've been using it for years so I'm just used to it.

A browser is only as secure as the person using it really... though there's a ton of security type extensions you can add.

If there's anything insecure about Chrome, it's that it's basically tied into Google and so all your searches are sent to Google etc... Though if you're using nothing but Google search anyway that's probably not a big deal.

I would say if you're more comfortable with Chrome, stick with Chrome...
