You don't need Hamachi for it.

You should tell your friend to buy the game instead.

Castle Crashers has no LAN, therefore no Hamachi support.

It simply isn't possible. Hamachi utilizes LAN in your illegitimate games. Castle Crashers only has Local Co-Op on the same computer and the Internet multiplayer is, well, on the internet and uses your Steam profile.
