I've been using a Logitech stereo (w/ sub) system for a good six or seven years now, but there are some feedback problems (plus some frightening explosion sounds if the sub connection is bumped) occurring more and more and I need to upgrade. I've actually tried this before with a couple other Logitech sound systems similarly priced but they both sounded like tinny s*** compared to the original. There are quite a few selections on NCIX.ca and I really don't have any idea what kind of stats I'm looking for. I tend to go overboard to ensure quality and compensate for my ignorance ($200 Audio-Technica studio headphones) but I'd rather not spend more than $300.
As for the monitor, I really just need a trusted brand for gaming. I can figure out size/pricing myself. That's one thing I can do, I think. --- The Garden Of Rama Arthur C. Clarke is the one true God.

I just got the Creative T40's, and they are awesome. I live in an apartment and can't take advantage of crazy bass so these are perfect. They are far from weak sounding.
They are on sale for 104.00 now.

I originally wanted surround sound, but it's not looking like I'll get my money's worth. After looking around a bunch I've found that those speakers seem to be the best available at that price. Thanks! --- The Garden Of Rama Arthur C. Clarke is the one true God.
