I use this in the glossy version. Also bought from a different seller (dream-seller), but they appear to be out.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-QNIX-QX2710-LED-Evolution-27-2560x1440-WQHD-PLS-Computer-Monitor-Matte-/121117252582?pt=Computer_Monitors&hash=item1c33269be6

Anyway, looks like a reputable seller. Once you go 1440p, you don't go back.

Under $250 or good. Pick one.

Sorry to be an arse but for best you're looking at the likes of the Dell U27's and check the prices on those. I'd get a high quality 23" with that budget but then that's just me ;)

I have to agree. With monitors, you generally get what you pay for. That's not to say that some aren't a better value than others, but you're unlikely to get a high quality 27-inch 1440p monitor without paying at least twice that much.

Also purhcased the glossy, and am now part of the 1440p PC Gaming Master Race.

The only downside is that you need a beefier GPU than you did for 1080p because you need to push ~80% more pixels. Otherwise, it's freaking great.

The best monitor for the price is probably the Asus PB278Q.

Any 27" monitor for $250 is going to be a piece of crap really. You'll have to look for the Korean ones that will only have DVI and no other inputs, etc.

I just got one a few weeks ago myself. Have to agree. The Dell U2713HM is a good one too, but it's more expensive and a worse value, really. Some people are comfortable buying those cheap Catleap monitors on Ebay, but I want support in case something goes wrong with my monitor, personally.

I've been looking at it for a future purchase when I build my desktop. It's semi-glossy right?
