How do you shut your computer off, if at all, and do you have a routine?

normal shutdown. Sometimes I keep it off for days. Like this week. Took it apart saturday, rebuild everything on sunday with my new mobo and HD. I have yet to test it :(

I may turn it on and test it tonight, but mostly likely tomorrow.

i sometimes just hold the power button until it goes off......i've had nights where i go to shut it down.....and turn off the monitor...only to find out in the morning it never shut off......as it was stuck on the prompt asking me to force shutdown a program.....like seriously? i told you to shut down.....that means shut the F*** down

I have all my PCs set to hibernate when I press the power button, so I just press the power button and leave.
