there's no reason to buy a "gaming laptop" when it is weaker, more expensive, and less reliable than a desktop of comparable specs.

The ignorance on PCH is astounding.

Aside from having no reason to buy a laptop, the points he made were true. For the same price, you get a significantly weaker less reliable machine. If portability is your main concern then its a no brainer but if you plan on playing at home 90% of the time, just get a desktop. The remaining game time is easily filled by a handheld or smartphone.

Give me your address so I can mail you hooked on phonics because your reading skills sucks. I been waiting like a week for you to show me what make you think I don't know what those games are.

Why would you send him your copy of Hooked On Phonics when it failed to teach you anything?

I have a pretty hard time believing that since the Nintendo 64 Injustice: Gods Among Us is the ONLY game that's made you feel that way.

I'm not big on shooters, platformers, sports games, or "action" rpgs. And got bored with squaresoft around that time.

So what did I miss?

I have to agree. Get a console for a game that's worth it. I played a bunch of injustice at a friends place, trust me you're not missing out.

Had a lot of fun with Injustice, bought the Collector's Edition today which was pretty good. I'm hoping with MK 9 being well received for the PC that WB will give us Injustice as well.

Don't care about what you can't have. Get over it. It'll turn bad by the 3rd sequel, trust me. They all do. Plus a large Electromagnetic Storm from the Sun has a 1/8 chance of killing all gaming forever this year and every year. Yay!

I regret favoring consoles over PC. PC is awesome. Too broke to afford a good desktop. Might have enough for a built Alien ware or Razor but elitists would just tell me to build a desktop instead cuz laptops supposedly suck.

Nothing elitist about it. It's just a fact that gaming laptops are big, bulky, have s*** battery life, get hot and for the price they charge you could just buy a good desktop and a cheap ultra book for your portable needs at the same price. Most people don't actually need a gaming laptop. Unless you are in a profession where you travel a lot having a portable gaming laptop is really needless since you will be plugging it in and playing it at home anyway 9/10 times.

Do you REALLY need to game on the go? Do you REALLY need to plug in your big bulky gaming laptop during your lunch hours to squeeze 30 minutes of subpar gaming in? Probably not and for the majority of people it's pure novelty. Novelty that wears off real quick once you realize that you never really use it all the much outside the house and you should have just bought a cheaper desktop with better performance in the first place.

Then again maybe you do travel a lot or go back and forth between parents or something so portability is important but if you don't just consider getting a small portable gaming rig. Just because it's a desktop doesn't mean it has to be a giant full tower. Mini ITX machines can be no bigger then a console now while packing in all the latest parts.

Well let's see you pointed out a fighting game initially, which has undoubtedly been one of the main genres of games that are relatively exclusive to consoles for quite a long time. Only recently have a few fighting games started to come out on PC again.

So my initial statement stands. I have a hard time believing Injustice Gods Among Us is the ONLY game that's made you feel that way since the Nintendo 64.
