Yeah, see, this is why AMD FX CPUs are no good for gaming. They're fine for some games, but as soon as you get any kind of sandbox gameplay, they choke and die. Every time.

That's odd because he's the only one having such bad problems. You'd think someone who has been around so long would know broad generalizations are usually wrong. And I didn't know over 90% of games on the market is some games now. That's interesting.

And I'd think someone who has been around as long as you would know that

And yet this always happens with every sandbox game on AMD CPUs.
Hell, any game with big, open, detailed environments for that matter. I think the Battlefield games are the only exception to that.

What happens? One person's isolated problems? I'm not even the only person in this thread who affirmed that the extreme frame dips are localized to him.

That isn't surprising, 2 and 3 were also horribly optimized on PC. Even 2 is pretty much unplayable regardless of settings on my PC. 3 is actually slightly better (still terrible though).

Runs almost exactly the same as 3 and hell most of the assets are the same as 3 since it was originally an expansion pack. Saying this is a bad port when we have SR2 to compare it to is just moronic. Go play SR2 and tell me about bad ports. SR4 is fine.

I don't have a super computer but the game runs flawlessly on ultra settings for me.

ITT: The word horribly used wrong.

And 3 runs almost exactly the same as 4. Which is great.
