Titanfall may require Origin

Eh, the game looks fun, but I'm exhausted of playing these arcade style shooters.

It's not like every EA game ever from the last 3 years has been Origin-only or anything.

Does it really matter?

I mean I have no interest in the game, but other than not having it on steam, what's so bad about Origin?

And I originally wanted to buy this game...

Just kidding, I'm not interested in this game at all so far.

As a source engine game, wouldn't it benefit more from steam than origin?

No, ideally everything would be released on Steam only period.

Yeah, monopolies have always been such a good thing for customers.

Since I will be using origin for BF3 and BF4 anyway, I no longer care.

Honestly, game being released on one download service only is annoying, but I won't try to boycott EA and Origin, not when Steam is doing the same to both their own games and even popular 3rd party games like Skyrim. Ideally they would all just be released on all platforms and let the consumer decide where to buy and what application to use, but unfortunately we are moving further away from that each year. It is a development within the industry rather than just EA or Origin.

Actually the most ideal thing would be no 3rd party software and no drm at all.

I don't see GOG destroying the game industry with their lack of DRM.

No, but I'd rather have my games in one complete super-service, than thrown about my desktop.

I have a bunch of Freeware games that I had to throw around, and that's a mess. Even if I keep it in a folder.

Click plus button below Steam library.

Click add non Steam game.

Add your non Steam game.

Boom.

Although if you lose all your data retrieving the non-DRM stuff and re-adding it to your library could be a PITA.
